I love our two kids they are so cute. Especially Wendy with her bubbly personality. Her favorite word lately is "yeah!" It means either I agree, or I understand or just to feel like she is part of the adult conversation.

Yesterday the kids were playing with the laundry basket and next thing I see is Taylor sitting in the basket and Wendy pushing him around. The whole time Taylor is telling her where to go and she is saying "Yeah!" It was just funning to see her being the one doing the pushing but as long as they are both having fun, who cares!

A barefoot trend? Or is it...

If barefoot running or minimalist shoes are more than just a trend, then what the shoe companies would be saying by jumping on board is that what they've BEEN doing these past 30+ years was wrong.

Here's an article from back in August talking about the trend.

Here's another article, which contains some supporting talk about humans being built for running (Dr. Lieberman - Havard; Dr. Bramble -University of Utah) as well as a short video interview on the left side with Christopher McDougall, author of "Born To Run".

AND the big article of this year in running: Dr. Lieberman's research YouTube version :)

Jantzen Family Christmas 2009

We hope everyone who reads this had as merry a Christmas as our family did. Ours was a special one since we celebrated Christmas morning with our own family in our own home for the first time. Jason recorded some of the fun this year.

Fall Leaves

I love to look for opportune fall leaves to photograph each year. The perspective and colors that fallen leaves present are unique and strangely warming to the heart to look at. This year I haven't seen much around. Mostly I've been hiding away doing homework and haven't done a lot of running in the park either. The park around the corner just seems bleah compared to last years mess of leaves.

So after helping Danielle out to the car with the kids I noticed this trio of of leaves that still had rain drops and lots of vibrant colors. I couldn't help take pictures of them.

Pumpkin Fun

Taylor has been sooo excited to carve pumpkins since the night we got them and tonight he finally got his wish. The kids were all eyes as they explored pumpkin carving. Taylor even put his hand to gutting out the pumpkins, but being a very clean boy, he decided that he preferred to watch daddy to do it instead. Needless to say there were lots of giggles about our "scary pumpkins". What fun! Happy Halloween to everyone!

A Penny or a Million Dollars?

Have you ever seen the analogy of being offered for compensation: a million dollars or a penny that would be doubled every day for a month? It is hard to believe but the penny doubled every day over a month far exceeds a million dollars. Really amazing analogy I always thought but when would you ever see this in real life. Well, I have officially been shown a real life example of this that can and is being done today in this economy by some friends who have a lot of business experience and it is so beautiful! If you are looking for another source of income then you need to see this. If you are wanting to diversify your eggs and not have all of your eggs in the “same basket” then you need to see this. If you have, in anyway, been effected by this down sloping economy then you need to see this. If you lost your job and need to find work then you need to see this. If you know some one who knows someone who is searching for work or another source of income then you need to see this so that you can show it to them. If you walk, breathe, drink, and sleep then you need to see this. In other words, no excuses, take 30 minutes of your time to make a positive step forward and lets start going forward not backward, you need to see this. Email me or leave me a message.
